A new fully remote-controllable arbitrary waveform generator with 2 output channels of 128 GSa/s and 8 GSa memory per channel and two high-frequency microwave amplifiers will be acquired at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf e. V.. The aim is to lay the groundwork for a novel and highly energy-efficient hardware platform for artificial intelligence - a technology designed to operate more sustainably than today’s AI systems. The bid must include according to the criteria listed under "2. Performance quote" the following items: - the arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) - two separate microwave amplifiers (10 MHz-50 GHz) - a one-day on-site startup-training (OST) for the AWG - a toolkit with the necessary torque wrenches and set of male-female adapters (connector savers) for the output channels. - two phase-matched microwave cables, length 500mm, 1.85mm male connectors - software to operate/remote control the AWG and design/load arbitrary waveforms Beside the fulfilment of the criteria described under "2. Performance quote" of this Annex 01A, the scope of deliveries and services includes: - delivery terms: DDP Dresden (Incoterms 2020) - place of delivery: HZDR, Bautzner Landstr. 400, 01328 Dresden, Geb. 707/106b - printed, pdf, or online version of user documentation in English or German - at least 1yr warranty remote support - the delivery of the AWG and amplifiers might be split, if delivery times are largely different.
